I know there's a Lonestar song with these lyrics, but it's not the song I'm looking for unless there is another version.
There is a part of the song where a little girl comes in and starts singing, "daddy when you coming home?" She goes on to say how she misses him, howsong when i'm with you she has grown up, how she can push herself on the swings, ect.
The father either left (maybe for the war, not sure) or passed away, I'm not sure.
I heard it at an anti drunk driving assembly a while ago, but I'm sure its been played in support our troops presentations.
it migsong when i'm with youht be this, it's a little girl talking to her dad who passed away on 9-11. REALLLY SAD. deffinate tear-jerker. hope i helped.
A band name Westlife sings "I'm Already There" too, but I'm not sure if it's different or not.
