dvd dvd moviesWhat kind of double layer DVD should I use to back up my movies?

I want to back up some of my dvd movies, but instead of compressing them using dvdshrink or something like that, I'd like to back them up on double layer dvd's, to preserve the quality.
My question is, what kind of dvd should I use, DVD+R DL or DVD-R DL?
My DVD burner can burn on both types of media, and I'm guessing thatdvd dvd movies I should use DVD+R DL, am I right?
Thanks for your help.
+, Try to copy the to an eternal drive. I think that would save you a lot of disc, and time.
I use DVDFab decrypter and I dont notice any difference in quality and the regular dvds are much much cheaper. It will compres them to an ISO file ad then you can burn todvd dvd movies a disk with DVDShrink. No quality loss unless you have a $15,000 hdtv. and if you got a $15,000 hdtv, you are rich, go buy a backup copy of your movies
Don't bother with dual layer. More expensive. get DVDFAB and it will shrink to 1 single layer with little if any difference in quality. Works great.
