I'm deleting all the stuff on my computer that I don't need.. there's a bunch of programs installed on my computer and in the add/remove programs section I don't know which ones to uninstall..I already un-installed programs I know i downloaded and don't need anymore..but some of these other programs were installed during updates or idk what else but i'm sure my computer doesn't need all of them..
I have a Dell Windows Vista XPS laptop,, can you tell me which ones of the list below I can remove without it affecting my computer?
-Adobe AIR
-Adobe flash player 10 ActiveX
-Adobe flash player 10 plugin
-Adobe shockwave player 11.5
-Advanced Audio FX engine
-Advanced Videocisco download center FX engine
-Broadcom Management Programs
-Cisco EAP-FAST module
-Cisco LEAP module
-Cisco PEAP module
-Dell Dock
-Download Updater (AOL LLC)
-HP Custom participation program 10.0
-HP imaging Device Functions 10.0
-HP photo smart essentials
-HP smart web printing
-HP solution center
-Interlok driver setup x32
-Java(TM) 6 update
-MediaDirect
-Microsoft Default Manager
-Microsoft Silverlight
-NVIDIA Drivers
-OpenOffice.org 3.2
-Outlook Addin Setup
-Roxio Creator DE
-Shop for HP supplies
-Windows live sync
-WinRAR Archiver
You don't need Adobe AIR, Download Updater (AOL LLC), any of the HP stuff, OpenOffice, Roxio Creator DE, Shop for HP cisco download centerSupplies, and WinRAR Archiver. The rest of the stuff is necessary to function or necessary to do stuff like watch videos. You might want to keep OpenOffice if you ever need to type something, its a free alternative to microsoft word.
Well for sure you need,
-NVIDIA Drivers
-Java(TM) 6 update
-Adobe flash player 10 ActiveX
-Adobe flash player 10 plugin
-Adobe shockwave player 11.5
That's about it I think,
I don't have to worry about space in my computer because I have 1tb of space. I have my computer for 2 and 1/2 years now and I still have plenty of space. I never deleted any programs yet..
